Important stuff from Bill

Time is getting close and we need to ramp up the communication...Everyone needs to ramp up the communication (via email of through the blog) and start making some commitments so we can get some activities in place.

Please watch the blog daily for updates. I think you have to click on the “important post” categories to see some of the recent updates.

If you are locked out of the blog because you have not visited it recently, contact Dad – he is all over it.

In particular I need a golf count no later than tomorrow. They will allow us to make T times in advance but are fairly rigid. If you only want to play nine, T times are not necessary.

Sam needs a rafter count. Sunday looks to be out of the question now but we still need a count of who might be interested. There are 8 openings for Sunday.

If you have any questions feel free to use email if that is easier. If someone knows Beth’s current email address, please send this to her and copy me so I can pick it up.

Michelle (and who else volunteered) I am counting on you for the silent auction.

Janet and I will check on a table rental place in Polson this weekend but you may want to be thinking of a backup plan.

The beer tasting is on so be thinking of your entry.

Anyone’s arrival or departure schedule changed?Anyone have any questions or is everyone ready to go?

Only 10 days to go – it’s getting exciting!!!To be sure this gets to everyone, I think I will also put this on the blog…

Rafting

Hi. So I called a week ago and tried to reserve a couple rafts for Sunday. The nice gal told me that they would possibly have that available but were waiting on another family to get back to them as they put in the request first. The nice gal called me yesterday to tell me that this family is indeed going and Sunday is booked....(actually there is 8 spots available, but i think we will have more then 8, maybe not?)...we have exactly ten (10) options.

1. Only 8 of us go.
2. Sat. Mon. Tues. Wed. is open.
3. We find out who this "family" is and lock them in port-o-pottys sunday morning and show up and claim to be them.
4. We could not go because we simply dont have enough time to fit all the fun things in.
5. I could go alone.
6. Wait and play it by ear.
7. Go watch the other family float the river from the road and pretend we are them.
8. We could pretend the flathead river is not even there, therefore the idea of rafting will not even cross our minds.
9. We could pull Bill and Janets mattresses out in the lawn, a couple people get on and visualize whitewater while a couple people shake the matress.
And the tenth and final option we have.
10. We wake up and just hang out as a family, have a nice sunday breakfast, enjoy the sunrise, and go for a nice little walk.

see you all in a week or two.

Rafting

Hi Family~
I called and spoke with a friendly lady at the Flathead Raft Company this morning. Does any one want to go with me...? Think about it.... The HOT July sun upon our backs as misty spirts of water refresh our faces>> ...I need to make a tentaive reservation, it does not require any money upfront. Just let me know if it sounds like fun and how many people you got in your little group. We can finalize who is going the day before. Just want to know if anyone wants to go? The rafts leave at 10 am and 2 pm. 4 hour floats. 45 $ for adults and 35 $ under 12.

Is there a golfing day set yet? auction day? I am thinking maybe monday or tues..... let me know if your in...

See ya'll soon. Sam~

P.S. I am working on the shirts for the reunion. I need to get all your sizes asap so I can get a order in. Shirts run on the small size..... I wear a Lg nicely and Marissa wears a lg. nicely as well, if that will give you any indication. Ladies....I really like the slightly scoop neck shirts for you. Is that ok with you? instead of the basic tee that is. Anyway.... Basically I need your sizes for your family. I think the easiet way to do this is to email my mom, once she gets everyone she will get me the list.

Dear Family, maybe the 3rd time will be a charm. I'd like to collect information on the Crandall families so I can start write a history for future generations. I know it's not very exciting, but as the family grows someone will say "where was grampa Walt Miller born". I know I've said "I wish I had asked my Mom or Dad about these things before they died." Well now's your chance.
Let's begin simply by asking one of your children, i.e. Lindsay Crandall to find our the full name of her grandfather in both sides of her family. His date of birth, where he was born, and the same information for his mother and father. If one of all the Crandall kids in each family would do this for the reunion that would be a great beginning. They should put the info to paper and seal it in a envelope for me. If anyone has a question give a call (406.752.2820) or send their question on the blog. Hears hoping! Grandpa Art
